Team Names

USTA Southern is requiring us to comply with the following guidelines for naming teams starting with the 2022 Summer leagues (Tri-Level, Mixed, Combo, and Flex Singles):

Team Name Limitations (one, two and/or a combination of all three below):

  • Captain Last Name
  • Tennis Facility
  • Location or CTA Name

If you feel strongly about what you'd like your combination of the three to be, please let Julie Lichty, LLC, know. Otherwise, teams will be named "Facility name/Captain's Last Name."

Match Schedule

Effective January 27, 2023, early play will be allowed ONLY to avoid an invalid match. All matches must be played at scheduled match times unless enough players for a valid match are unavailable. Any early play MUST be approved by the LLC.

Valid match:

  • For five-line matches, three lines must play.
  • For four-line matches, three lines must play.
  • For three-line matches, two lines must play.

If a team has enough for a valid match at match time but not enough for a full lineup, said team must forfeit the remaining lines.

Spring League Dates (2024)

Adult 18 & Over; 40 & Over

Registration Dates

  • December 1, 2023: Captain Registration Opens
  • December 8: Player Registration Begins
  • December 18: Initial Roster Deadline
  • January 13 – March 31, 2024: Season Dates

Adult 55 & Over

Registration Dates

  • January 3, 2024: Captain Registration Opens
  • January 10: Player Registration Begins
  • January 23: Initial Roster Deadline
  • Season begins in early February

Summer League Dates (2024)

Women’s 18 and Over Combo

Registration Dates

  • March 11: Captain Registration Opens (pay $5 through March 17)
  • March 18: Player Registration
  • March 25: Initial Roster Deadline
  • April 22 - June 30: Season dates

  • Men's NTRP: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5
  • Women's NTRP: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5
  • March 11 - April 8: Player Registration
  • April 22 - June 30: Season Dates
